Hi Nanette,

Ok, first I have to ask what a "Yooper" is!

Then, thanks so much for popping over to our blog - Lulu's Designs! We are so excited that you are our 14th follower!!! =)

I love your garden. I have a weakness for anything blooming. I have a purple clematis like yours but mine only blooms once which makes me sad. It's quite a show, but I'd love for it to rebloom all summer long. What is the flower in the photo with the chicken - is that a whirlygig? That is a gorgeous flower. It almost looks like Queen Anne's Lace it's so flat. I love it. I need it! See? There I go!

One of these days I'm gonna make a quilt. Do you machine quilt? My grandmother and her friends did hand quilting. I have several of the quilts she made and they are so precious to me.

Your family looks wonderful. I can't imagine how much fun you must have with your grands. I have one and he is amazing.

Take care!

Paula

Paula, thanks for stopping by! The flower is a pastel yarrow and it blooms all summer long as long as I deadhead regularly. The chicken is just a garden stake, my grandkids love them, they pull up each one a d put them in the middle of the yard!

Yes I do machine quilt, no patience for the hand stitching!

Thanks again for stopping by,

Nannette

Paula, I forgot to tell you what a Yooper is! I am from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The initials u.p. For those who live in the upper peninsula became yooper, as opposed to those from the lower peninsula who we call trolls because they live "beneath" the bridge, the Mackinac bridge that connects the two peninsulas.

There you have it!

Hi Nanette,

Who knew there were such distinctions in Michigan as Yoopers and trolls! I'm laughing!

I cannot believe that you all got so much snow! We had a bit of ice and a dusting of snow in North Texas. Temps are supposed to be near 70 next week and I can't wait!

Thanks for info about flowers. Just gorgeous. That's what I'm ready to look at. =)
